Hourigan Connolly is preparing a full planning application on behalf of Bowsall Developments Ltd and Midland Heart for an affordable homes scheme at Herbert Road, Stafford. This consultation website is intended to provide some initial details of the draft proposals and to invite you to provide comments.
The draft scheme comprises 37 new dwellings, all of which will be affordable. 10 of the units will be shared ownership and 27 will be for affordable rent. A mix of types and sizes of dwellings is proposed including: 1 bed apartments (9 no.), 2 bed houses (18 no.) and 3 bed houses (10 no.). The scheme also provides for significant tree planting throughout. Access and egress is from Herbert Road only.
All comments received will be used to inform and refine the full planning application before it is submitted to Stafford Borough Council.
When the planning application has been submitted, the Council will notify surrounding residents as part of their own statutory consultation process. You will then have a further opportunity to submit comments on the proposals directly to the Council.
At this pre-application stage, we value your comments on the draft proposals.
The consultation material comprises the following:
We will consider your comments and take them into account as we finalise the full planning application. The planning application will include a summary of the responses we receive as part of this consultation exercise, but your personal details will not be made public.
The consultation period will be open for 2 weeks from 9 February 2022 until 23 February 2022.
