We have been instructed by Seddon Construction Limited to notify surrounding residents that a planning application for residential development is currently being prepared at land to the south of Redlam Brow, Blackburn.
On behalf of the applicant, we are undertaking a period of consultation on the draft proposals that will run until 13 March 2020.
We are inviting surrounding residents to comment on the draft proposals. All comments received will be used to inform the planning application before it is submitted to Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.
When the planning application has been submitted, the Council will notify surrounding residents as part of their own consultation process. You will then have a further opportunity to submit comments on the proposals directly to the Council, however, we welcome your comments at this early stage.
Proposals
The current draft layout shows a development of 86 homes made up of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom house types. All of the dwellings will be two storeys. The proposals present an opportunity to develop part of a site which has been allocated for housing in the Council’s Local Plan (site no. 16/4 – Griffin Development Site, Blackburn) and make a positive contribution towards the Council’s housing supply with a range of open market and private rental properties.
The draft planning layout can be found here.
The consultation leaflet can be found here.
