Hourigan Connolly was appointed to appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the development of nine dwellings on a brownfield site within the urban area of Barnoldswick, the site formerly being occupied by an ambulance station.
Hourigan Connolly put forward a strong case to the Planning Inspector demonstrating that the site was entirely appropriate in scale, design and layout in the context of the surrounding residential environment and that there would be no negative impact on the character of the area. Our thorough and efficient approach to the appeal process ensured that a decision was issued in a timely manner, despite local objection. The appeal was subsequently allowed and full planning permission granted.
