Full planning permission was granted for the demolition of a vacant care home and the erection of 29 family homes on a prominent road frontage in the Lancashire town of Rawtenstall. The application had been recommended for approval and was unanimously resolved for approval by the planning committee.
The Section 106 Agreement has since been signed and work is due to commence on site very soon. By working closely with the Local Planning Authority Hourigan Connolly was able to overcome initial concerns and agree on key design features. The site is in a prominent position on Bacup Road in Rawtenstall and its redevelopment will significantly improve the appearance of this part of the town, as well as delivering good quality family housing.
