Hourigan Connolly co-ordinated the submission of an outline planning application for 113 dwellings on a greenfield site adjoining the village of Baldwin’s Gate. This was pre-dated by a public consultation event, formal pre-application discussions with Officers and presentations to Members of the Council and the MADE Design Review Panel. The application was refused for ten reasons. Hourigan Connolly lodged an appeal and following a six-day Public Inquiry, the appeal was upheld in January 2015. Hourigan Connolly provided expert evidence on five-year housing land supply and general planning matters. Costs were also awarded against the Local Authority. Hourigan Connolly then dealt with reserved matters applications for Kier Living Limited who acquired the site.
